His willingness to lead by example earned the immediate respect of those around him.

Today we are celebrating Cody and his 5-year anniversary with Flanigan!
Over the past five years, Cody has become an invaluable part of our team through his hard work, leadership, and positive attitude. His technical versatility makes him a reliable force on every job site; whether he’s operating a skid steer, running the milling machine, or stepping into any role needed to keep operations moving smoothly and efficiently.
While his operating skills are exceptional, Cody truly stands out in one of the most critical roles on the crew: Ground Man. As the “conductor” of the job, he is responsible for precision cutting, coordinating truck movements, managing the flow of the job, and serving as the eyes on the ground for the milling machine operator to help ensure the safety of the entire team. His attention to detail and leadership in this role are essential to every project’s success.
Beyond his technical expertise, Cody brings something equally important to Flanigan; his attitude. He has one of the most positive mindsets and approaches every challenge with a true “can-do” spirit. No matter the task, Cody is always willing to step up, support his team, and help get the job done right.

No one should lose their life simply doing their job. These tragic and preventable work zone crashes are a painful reminder that safety must ALWAYS come first.
We all have a responsibility to slow down, move over, stay alert, and protect the men and women who work every day to keep our roadways safe.In just 4 days, SHA has tragically lost two of our team members to senseless and avoidable work zone crashes. These individuals were fiercely dedicated to improving Maryland's roadways.

This moment is dedicated to the workers, drivers, and passengers whose lives have been impacted by work zone crashes, and to the families and loved ones who continue to carry their memory.
